1.Objective To evaluate the effect of bronchial artery embolization (BAE) with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) foam and gelatinum sponge (GS) for serious hemoptysis.
4.During the second phase, also called Weil disease, there may be signs of end-organ damage like jaundice, a cough, dyspnea and hemoptysis, reduced urine output and fluid retention, depending on the affected organs.
5.When considering palliation of cough, chest pain and hemoptysis in those with moderate or poor PS, 17Gy in 2 fractions is equivalent to longer schedules (for example, 30Gy in 10 fractions or 27Gy in 6 fractions) with no difference in survival.
